Enjoy the lift of natural energy and antioxidant power with this energizing green drink recipe!
1/2 Cucumber, peeled
1/2 Green Apple, cut in chunks
1/2″ piece of Fresh Ginger, unpeeled
2 C Baby Spinach Leaves (or baby kale you prefer)
1/4 C – 1/2 C Fresh Parsley (or cilantro if you prefer)
1 Fresh Lemon, Lime or both, peeled, cut in quarters
1 C Filtered Water (or coconut water if you wish)
3-4 Ice Cubes
Handful of Wheat Grass (it’s an acquired taste but very healthy)
2 Fresh Pitted Dates
Add each ingredient, in the order listed on recipe, to VitaMix or other high speed blender or food processor. Adjust water depending on consistency you prefer. More water will make it thinner.
NOTE: Use all organic ingredients whenever possible. Try to stick with low glycemic fruits and veggies. If you need more sweetness to start, you may increase to a whole apple and/or add in the optional dates or banana.
